"Imperium Illithidus"

Day 75, Part B

LiberationCania

Summary With Cardinal Belphegor slain, we turned our attention to General Von Silicar and THE UNYIELDING. We eliminated THE UNYIELDING, but Von Silicar and a handful of his High Command escaped our grasp. Also, the dastardly Ta’el mastermind Rydan resurrected due to the death of Mugsy. Though the price we paid was high, Cania is forever free of the blockade, the “Liberate Akbaar” movement is free to spread its message, and the Imperium has been dealt a great blow though the loss of one of its best regiments.

I. Slaughtered the Unyielding With Cardinal Belphegor slain and his priests defeated, we turned our attention to General Von Silicar and THE UNYIELDING. Bael’aran reclaimed his throne as the Lord of Cania, and the very plane responded to his commands. We surged forth, cutting down THE UNYIELDING by the score, and soon the regiment was in full retreat.

II. Ended the Blockade The blockading ships of THE UNYIELDING gated to the Cania’s surface in a desperate attempt to bolster General Von Silicar and halt our advance. They did not survive.

III. Total Party Kill By General Von Silicar As THE UNYIELDING crumbled before our onslaught, General Von Silicar and his High Command sought to withdrawal from Cania. We cut off his retreat and battled him in a brutal fight that ultimately resulted in the deaths of Hyronemous, HK, and Mugsy.

The bodies of Hyronemous and HK were quickly found and resurrected by Bael’aran. Though General Von Silicar and a handful of his High Command escaped our grasp, we were successful in eliminating THE UNYIELDING. Cania is forever free of the blockade, the “Liberate Akbaar” movement is free to spread its message, and the Imperium has been dealt a great blow though the loss of one of its best regiments.

IV. Rydan Resurrected Mugsy’s death caused the Ring of Rydan to activate and resurrect the dastardly Ta-El mastermind somewhere in the multiverse.

Comments

Sheesh you guys, it is like whenever Zacharias leaves the party to its own devices for a day, they manage to get themselves killed off! It is abundantly clear that he can’t leave his minions alone lest they falter without his undying power backing them up. Fear not, Zacharias will return eventually, just as soon as he re-animates his dearest Persephone. Priorities must be observed, after all.

Day 75, Part B

Indeed, without Zacharius to run away at the beginning of the combat, there was no one to come back and rescue the party :-)
